flow control valve
A flow control valve normalizes the flow or pressure of a fluid. The control valves usually respond to signals produced by independent devices such as temperature gauges and flow meters. A flow control valve regulates airflow in one main direction, permitting free flow in the opposite direction. Automatic control valves are comprised of flow control valves, back-pressure sustaining valves, pressure reducing valves, altitude valves and relief valves.
